Our history
CNG began in 2005 as a family business with a simple idea. Use our hands to build better places to live, work and play, one project and one relationship at a time.
Our founder, Claudio Marcelo Navarro, started in the 1990s as a handyman and framer in Ajax, Ontario, and worked with builders such as Minto Homes and Falcon Crest Homes before starting CNG. Since then we have earned our reputation one renovation at a time, with honest work and craftsmanship that adds value to every home we touch.
Today we renovate kitchens, bathrooms, basements, whole homes, exteriors and commercial spaces. We also take care of more than 140 repairs and small jobs and look after homes through yearly maintenance plans.

From beginning to finish Claudio has gone above and beyond. The level of care, commitment, honesty and detail he provided has exceeded our expectations in every way. From the first time we spoke with Claudio over the phone we could immediately tell the level of knowledge and detail he was going to provide. On our first visit he spent 3 hours coming up with a realistic and accurate breakdown of cost, details and what we can expect for a finished product. His system made it easy for us to understand cost breakdowns and have control for modifications or changes right from the start. There was never a time he wasn’t available for a response or a question. The kindness, respect and professionalism from Claudio is unmatched in the construction/renovation world, we had complete faith in his feedback and guidance. More than a few occasions he took his time to assess other things in the home that could need attention, even things that were short cut from prior contractors including caulking that was separating from brick, buffles missing in the attic for airflow and even bathroom ventilation that was never even routed properly, these are just to name a few! He documents all of the processes so you can see visually and understand every step taken the entire way. We truly made a friend during this process, the outcome of these renovations are breathtaking and we couldn’t be happier with CNG Renovations and his team! He is the only person we will ever choose for any project!

When we first met Claudio, we had a great experience as he walked us through the entire project process according to what we needed; he made a drawing on the spot and accurately created the estimate.
Our questions were answered as we went along the process, including the selection of materials. He showed us which were high-quality and worth paying for.
When we started the project, the CNG Contracting team showed up on time, and everything was according to schedule. They had a process assuring the completion stage was on time, and we had no delay.
Something very important to us was that we had control of the finances; the payment schedule concluded after the stages, not before. Also, it was noticeable the system was created to protect our investment and we believe that the transparency that CNG Contracting runs their business is very reliable and trustworthy giving us access to a follow-up system where we could keep an eye on the project from the pictures and videos uploaded regularly.
Our experience with Customer service was perfect, whenever we had a question or need, any time of the day, we contacted Claudio and had all our questions explained and answered.
The CNG Team had the house protected from day ONE, covering floors/ staircase/ hallways and creating containments to minimize the dust throughout the project; overall, the house was clean, safe and organized every day.,
At the end of the project, we had a Professional (PDI) inspection and warranty included for any minor adjustments or touch-ups needed, as well as a 2-YEAR WARRANTY for all our plumbing / electrical and HVAC installed AND INSPECTED by CNG.
If you want to be surprised and impressed with things you were not expecting, CNG is the team to hire! They go above and beyond your expectations, no doubt about that; they are a very passionate team of guys who love what they do, respect your home, and protect your investment.

Claudio and his team are great at what they do and I wouldn’t hesitate, for a second, to recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great general contractor in the GTA.
My fiancé and I had the pleasure of having Claudio renovate our main floor and roof. While the reno process can be stressful, Claudio was there to help us every step of the way. It was clear early on that Claudio was thorough (spent 2+ hours with us building a detailed project plan, in person, before we signed a contract), communicative (shared updates with us almost daily and always responded to questions quickly), personable (friendly, easy to talk to and explained everything) and an overall fantastic contractor (quality final product and everything was on schedule).
My fiancé and I had reached out to several contractors before deciding to work with Claudio. While other contractors took weeks to respond and estimated 3-6 months before they could even start, Claudio started the project one week after we signed! From signature to completion the project took only six weeks, an impressive feat considering the amount of work we had done.
The new kitchen and living area are both functional and beautiful, Claudio truly turned our vision into a reality. We are extremely pleased with our new living space!

We hired CNG Contracting for a full home and basement renovation of our bungalow, which included disability-friendly access, new electrical throughout the house, new water lines from the city to the house, and new sewage lines to the city main connections. The project started on January 1st and was completed on March 20th, right on schedule.
From the initial planning and design to the final inspection and handover, Claudio and his team were professional, responsive, and easy to work with. They took the time to understand our needs and answered every question clearly. Most importantly, he was patient and helped complete the details to claim the appropriate disability rebates and refunds.
We know that no renovation is ever perfect, but what truly sets CNG Contracting apart is how quickly and effectively they handled every challenge that came up. Every concern was addressed immediately and with care.
Our new basement (with wet bar and rental-ready rough-ins) and main floor kitchen, staircase, and added powder room turned out beautifully and exactly where we needed them, as we envisioned.
Even after completion, when minor attention was needed, Claudio personally followed up right away and ensured everything was taken care of with his team.
