When a bathroom vanity is worth replacing
A vanity takes more abuse than most furniture in the house: splashes, steam and the odd slow leak under the sink. Many builder-grade vanities are made of particleboard, which swells once water gets into it. Sometimes new handles and a new faucet are enough. Sometimes the cabinet itself has had its day.

If the cabinet is solid, new pulls, a new faucet and a matching towel bar can make the room feel current without much work. If you choose a new vanity, the main question is size. A new one that is the same width or wider usually covers the floor where the old one stood, while a narrower one can leave a gap in the tile. We look at your space and tell you what to expect before you buy.

Questions about vanity and hardware upgrades
Can you replace only the handles and the faucet?
Yes. If the cabinet is in good shape, new pulls, a new faucet and a towel bar are often all a bathroom needs.
What should I check before buying a new vanity?
Measure the width and depth of the space and note where the drain and water lines come out of the wall. Send us the model and we confirm it fits.
Will the floor show where the old vanity was?
It can. If the new vanity is smaller, there may be a strip with no tile. We check this at the start and go over your options before going further.
Can you install a floating vanity?
Yes, if the wall can carry it. A wall-hung vanity needs solid backing, so we check the wall and tell you if extra support is needed.
What affects the cost of a vanity upgrade?
Mainly the size of the vanity, whether the plumbing lines up, and how many pieces of hardware you want changed. The price is agreed before we start.
