About this service

Curtain & Blind Mounting in Hamilton Homes

A small curtain or blind mounting job can become frustrating when the surface, parts, measurements, access, or clean placement are not checked properly. CNG Contracting helps with curtain rods, blind brackets, tracks, valances, wall anchors, screws, stud locations, drywall anchors, window frames, and level lines.

This service is a good fit for Hamilton homeowners moving into a new home, replacing older hardware, or getting window coverings ready for daily use. Homes in areas such as Dundas, Ancaster, Waterdown, Stoney Creek, Binbrook, Westdale, and Kirkendall can vary from older plaster and trim conditions to newer drywall layouts, so the mounting approach may change from one property to another.

What We Check During the Technical Visit

Every home is different, and the right mounting method depends on more than the curtain rod or blind itself. During the technical visit, the technician reviews site conditions, access, materials, measurements, bracket fit, wall surface, stud locations, anchor type, and the intended scope before the quote is finalized.

  • Rod length, bracket spacing, height, projection, and centre support
  • Inside mount or outside mount blind placement
  • Headrail level, operation check, and trim clearance
  • Wall material, drywall anchors, screws, and stud locations
  • Old bracket marks, patched holes, nearby finishes, and clean alignment

Clear Mounting Scope and Next Steps

We keep the process practical and clear so you know what can be handled, what may need adjustment, and what should happen next. The technician looks at the actual window area, mounting surface, parts on hand, clearance, and access around the work area, then explains the work needed in plain language.

For curtain rods, this may include confirming height, projection, finials, fabric clearance, and support placement. For blinds, it may include checking bracket fit, inside or outside mount options, headrail alignment, and smooth operation. If the surface, anchors, or hardware are not suitable, that is reviewed as part of the scope so the mounting can be planned properly.

Long story short: great job 👍 So, my bathroom mirror/cabinet door has been sagging on one side more and more ever since I moved in years ago. One past repair job seemed to just be delaying the inevitable. Samuel showed up on time, showed me why those hinges weren't working (you can see weird extra screws in the “before” pic), added a securing plate to compensate for the mount not being strong enough on its own, and even filled in an unrelated gap in the bathroom caulking I hadn't noticed. Works perfectly now. Highly recommended!

I needed the PVC window sill ledge on my condo repaired. After trying multiple different contractors, nobody was willing to take on the job, but CNG was able to diagnose the issue and work required same day that I called and scheduled a technician (Samuel) who came promptly, took measurements, gave me multiple good options for repairs without being pushy or upselling and completed the work same day. Excellent service and great staff. Highly recommend for any home repair or renovation needs

I’ve worked with CNG Contracting on several commercial inspections, and they’ve been outstanding from start to finish.
The entire experience was professional, organized, and very educational. The inspection reports were clear, detailed, and easy to follow — not just technical data, but practical information that actually helps you make confident decisions.

Claudio arrived right on time, and was extremely knowledgeable, he took the time to explain every part of the process. After the inspection, he personally walked me through all the photos and videos, breaking down each finding so I could fully understand what I was looking at. That extra step made a big difference.

The detailed report I received afterward became more than just paperwork — it turned into a valuable guide I can use as a reference for my commercial project.
It gave me full clarity on what to expect and how to plan each stage, from the first step to the last.

I truly appreciate the transparency, care, and expertise that CNG Contracting brings to their work.
It’s rare to find a company that combines professionalism with genuine customer care and integrity like this.

I’d absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a thorough, honest, and reliable inspection or construction service

We hired CNG Contracting for a full home and basement renovation of our bungalow, which included disability-friendly access, new electrical throughout the house, new water lines from the city to the house, and new sewage lines to the city main connections. The project started on January 1st and was completed on March 20th, right on schedule.
From the initial planning and design to the final inspection and handover, Claudio and his team were professional, responsive, and easy to work with. They took the time to understand our needs and answered every question clearly. Most importantly, he was patient and helped complete the details to claim the appropriate disability rebates and refunds.
We know that no renovation is ever perfect, but what truly sets CNG Contracting apart is how quickly and effectively they handled every challenge that came up. Every concern was addressed immediately and with care.
Our new basement (with wet bar and rental-ready rough-ins) and main floor kitchen, staircase, and added powder room turned out beautifully and exactly where we needed them, as we envisioned.
Even after completion, when minor attention was needed, Claudio personally followed up right away and ensured everything was taken care of with his team.
We confidently give CNG Contracting 5 stars and recommend them to anyone looking for a serious, dependable contractor who stands behind their work and truly protects your investment.

It’s a professional on-site assessment. A certified CNG Contracting technician inspects the work area, takes measurements and photos, checks access, safety, and any constraints (power, water, ventilation), and discusses your goals, style, and finishes. You’ll receive a detailed proposal with a clearly defined scope, timeline, and material options. Even if you choose not to proceed, you keep the written findings and recommendations.

We typically confirm within 2 business hours by email or phone with the earliest available time window. For urgent issues, we try to offer same day response when scheduling and scope allow. Larger jobs may require material lead times if so, we coordinate the earliest visit that avoids delays once on site.

After the assessment we define a clear scope of work (tasks, inclusions, timeline, and material assumptions). Your quote reflects that scope as a fixed price it won’t change unless you approve a scope change or we uncover a hidden condition that wasn’t visible during inspection (e.g., concealed rot). Any change is documented with photos and options before proceeding.

We protect floors and high-traffic areas, isolate dust where needed, and remove debris at the end of the day. We aim to minimize disruption to your routine. At handover, we complete a quality checklist and, when appropriate, share before-and-after photos for your records.

For services labeled “materials included”, standard consumables and parts are covered. For custom work (e.g., built-ins), we can price both CNG-supplied materials and client-supplied materials. We’ll specify makes, quantities, and compatibility to ensure durability and code compliance.

Yes. Rescheduling with at least 48 hours’ notice is free. Short-notice cancellations may incur a coordination fee. If weather or health/safety concerns arise, we prioritize safety and offer the closest new slot available.

We provide a 2-year workmanship warranty. If something isn’t right, we’ll diagnose and correct it promptly. For support, email handyman-pro@cngcontracting.com
or call (647) 669-7346; we’ll schedule a follow-up, document findings, and complete the corrective work.

Yes. We offer maintenance plans, priority response, standardized task catalogs, and consolidated invoicing for offices, retail, and multi-unit buildings. Ask about SLAs and reporting if you manage multiple locations.

Absolutely. We design and install grab bars, threshold ramps, wider doorways, anti-slip flooring, walk-in shower rails, and more. We assess reach, transfer zones, and path-of-travel to reduce fall risk and increase independence. We’ll explain pros/cons, maintenance, and lifespan of each option.

We cover Toronto (all boroughs), Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Oakville, Burlington, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Oshawa, Milton, Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, London, Barrie, St. Catharines / Niagara and more. Our system assigns the nearest crew and accounts for travel to meet the agreed time window.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you help if my curtain rod or blind brackets are loose, uneven, or pulling from the wall in Hamilton?

Yes. We review the rod, blind brackets, anchors, window frame area, measurements, and surrounding surface so you understand what can be secured, what parts may need replacement, and what should be approved before work begins.

Do older Hamilton wall materials affect curtain and blind mounting?

Hamilton homes can include older plaster, brick, wood trim, drywall, and newer framing. We check wall material, stud locations, anchor options, bracket fit, and surface condition before mounting, especially in Victorian, renovated, or new-build properties.

What happens during the technical visit for curtain and blind mounting?

During the technical visit, we inspect the mounting location, wall surface, access, power needs, Wi-Fi signal for smart blinds, and device compatibility. We then explain the recommended scope and quote so you can approve the next step.

When should I book curtain or blind mounting for my Hamilton home?

Book before moving in, painting, installing nearby furniture, or relying on the blinds every day. Please have rods, brackets, tracks, remotes, app details if available, and clear access to the windows for measurement and review.
