Flat-pack instructions skip steps and many parts look alike. We sort the hardware first and follow the manual so nothing is left over at the end.
Most squeaks come from loose bolts, missing washers or a centre support that doesn't touch the floor. We tighten the joints, add washers or felt and adjust the support legs.
Loose cam locks and uneven floors make desks shake when you type. We tighten the joints, adjust the levelling feet and anchor tall units to the wall.

Getting flat-pack furniture to last
Flat-pack beds and desks can last for years if they are assembled square and tight. Most wobbles and squeaks start in the first weeks, when joints were overtightened, left loose or put together out of order.
Signs it needs attention

What to expect at the visit
Larger items like bunk beds, storage beds, wall beds and standing desks take longer because of the number of parts and the extra checks. Bunk beds and tall pieces should be anchored to the wall so they can't tip. Electric standing desks are assembled and run through their full height range before we leave. Have the boxes in the room where the furniture will stay, since assembled pieces often don't fit through doorways. We give every joint a final check before we go.

Can you assemble furniture from any store?
Yes, flat-pack beds, desks and office furniture from most stores and online sellers. Telling us the model when you book helps us plan the time.
Can you fix a bed that already squeaks?
Yes. We take apart the noisy joints, tighten or replace the hardware where possible and make sure the centre supports touch the floor.
Can you set up a standing desk?
Yes. We assemble the frame and desktop, attach the control panel and test it through its full height range.
Can you do several pieces in one visit?
Yes. A bed, nightstands and a desk are often done together. List everything in the booking so we plan enough time.
Where should the boxes be when you arrive?
