Color consulting & touch-ups

Detailed Description
Choosing the right colors and keeping them looking fresh can transform any space. At CNG Contracting, we make Color Consulting & Touch-Ups simple, helping your Toronto & GTA home look polished and cohesive without the stress.
Our process begins with understanding your style, lighting, and existing finishes. We guide you in selecting the right shades to complement your space. When it comes to touch-ups, we carefully prep surfaces, address imperfections, and use specialized blending techniques to apply paint evenly. We ensure it blends seamlessly with existing walls, trim, or fixtures, avoiding the dreaded "flashing" effect where new paint looks different from the old. On the day, we protect your space, work efficiently, and clean up thoroughly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you match a color if I don't have the code?
Yes. We can take a small chip of the existing paint to a supplier for computer matching, or use fan decks to find the closest possible match on-site.
Will the touched-up spot be visible?
We use a technique called "feathering" to blend the new paint into the old. However, on older walls or walls with high sheen (satin/gloss), a touch-up might still be visible, in which case we recommend painting the entire wall.
Do you help with exterior color selection?
Absolutely. We consider your brick color, roof shingles, and neighborhood style to recommend exterior palettes that boost curb appeal.
Why is a Technical Visit necessary?
Touching up paint is harder than painting a whole wall. Paint fades over time due to UV exposure, and the sheen (gloss level) changes with cleaning. Using the original leftover can from 5 years ago often results in a mismatch. Our Color Consulting & Touch-Ups assessment involves physically matching the current color and sheen on your walls to determine if a simple touch-up is possible or if a "corner-to-corner" repaint is needed for a flawless look.
