Concrete, Microcement & Driveway Sealing

Detailed Description
Protecting and sealing your concrete or microcement surfaces extends their life and keeps them looking sharp year after year. At CNG Contracting, we handle Concrete & Driveway Sealing for patios, walkways, and decorative concrete with precision and the right materials for each surface type, protecting your Toronto & GTA concrete or microcement surfaces.
Our process begins with a full cleaning and inspection to remove dirt, oil, and buildup that can affect adhesion. Once the surface is dry and properly prepared, we apply a high-quality sealer designed to resist moisture, stains, and UV damage—helping to prevent cracking and fading. We offer both matte and gloss finishes, guiding you in choosing the best option for your aesthetic and climate. Whether it’s a decorative microcement finish or a standard driveway, the goal is the same: protection that lasts.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I seal my driveway?
In Toronto's climate, we recommend sealing exposed aggregate or stamped concrete every 2 to 3 years to protect against salt damage and freeze-thaw spalling.
Is the sealer slippery when wet?
Gloss sealers can be slippery. To prevent this, we can add a specialized anti-slip aggregate (grit) into the final coat, providing traction without affecting the look.
Can you seal new concrete immediately?
No. Fresh concrete needs to cure for at least 28 days to release excess moisture before it can be sealed. Sealing too early traps water and weakens the concrete.
Why is a Technical Visit necessary?
Sealing concrete isn't just "painting" a liquid on top. If the concrete holds too much moisture, the sealer will turn white and hazy ("blushing") or peel off entirely. Furthermore, different sealers are incompatible; putting a solvent-based sealer over an old water-based one can ruin the surface. Our Concrete & Driveway Sealing assessment tests the surface porosity and moisture levels to select the chemically correct sealer for a flawless, long-lasting bond.
