Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Laminate and Vinyl (LVP)?
Both are durable, but LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) is 100% waterproof, making it ideal for basements, kitchens, and bathrooms. Laminate is wood-based and offers high scratch resistance but is sensitive to standing water.
Do you install baseboards and quarter round?
Yes. A new floor raises the height of the ground, so we often remove old baseboards and install new ones (or shoe molding/quarter round) to cover the expansion gap for a finished look.
How long does installation take?
An average room (approx. 200 sq. ft.) can typically be completed in one day. Larger projects or those requiring significant subfloor repair will take longer. We provide a clear timeline during our visit.
Why is a Technical Visit necessary?
The most important part of a floor is what you don't see: the subfloor. If the subfloor has dips or humps, modern "click-lock" vinyl or laminate planks will eventually separate or break at the joints. Our Flooring Installation assessment uses laser levels to identify uneven spots, allowing us to quote for necessary leveling or plywood reinforcement before we lay a single plank.
