Swapping a round knob for a lever isn't always plug-and-play. Older doors often have smaller bore holes or different "backsets" (the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the hole) that modern levers won't fit without modification. After the assessment we define a clear scope of work (tasks, inclusions, timeline, and material assumptions). Your quote reflects that scope as a fixed price it won’t change unless you approve a scope change or we uncover a hidden condition that wasn’t visible during inspection (e.g., concealed rot).
