How long do I have to wait to use the sink?

We use fast-curing professional silicone, but we generally recommend keeping the area dry for at least 24 hours to ensure the seal cures completely and offers maximum protection.

Do you seal the stone countertop itself?

Yes. Natural stone like granite or marble is porous and can stain. In addition to silicone caulking the edges, we can apply a penetrating sealer to the stone surface to repel oil and water.

Why does my silicone keep turning black?

Black spots are mold growing inside the silicone. This happens with low-quality caulk or poor ventilation. We use 100% silicone with active biocides to resist mold growth for years.
